“The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens” - Bahá'u'lláh

All activities and gatherings suspended until May

Location

Dear Friends,

In light of the guidance from NSA and the rapidly changing conditions in our own state, the greater Worcester Bahá'í’ Community will be suspending all activities until May.  At that time, we will reassess the situation and act accordingly.

We will be missing the following feasts/celebrations:

  • Mar 20 Fri - Nawruz & Feast of Baha
  • Apr 8 Wed - Feast of Jalal
  • Apr 20 Mon - Ridvan 1st day
  • Apr 28 Tue - Ridvan 9th day & feast of Jamal
  • May 1 Fri - Ridvan 12th day
  • May 16 Sat - Feast of 'Azamat

If you are in the city of Worcester, Ridvan Elections will be held through the mail with the annual report being transmitted electronically.  More information as to logistics will be forthcoming.

We will also be forwarding all Feast letters and meaningful communications to the community by email.

Please don’t forget the Fund! You can send contributions for Worcester Bahá'í Fund to Jila Hamraie Rasekh, 14 Kinney Drive, Worcester 01602 or use the Online Contribution System https://ocs.bahai.us/ocs/  and contribute to the Worcester Bahá'í’ Fund through the portal.

Please let us know if there is any way we can support each other, (by delivering needed supplies, running errands, etc.) to help those who may be having difficulties getting out and about.

O sincere servant of the True One! I hear thou art grieved and distressed at the happenings of the world and the vicissitudes of fortune. Wherefore this fear and sorrow? The true lovers of the Abhá Beauty, and they that have quaffed the Cup of the Covenant fear no calamity, nor feel depressed in the hour of trial. They regard the fire of adversity as their garden of delight, and the depth of the sea the expanse of heaven. Thou who art neath the shelter of God, and under the shadow of the Tree of His Covenant, why sorrow and repine? Rest thou assured and feel confident. Observe the written commandments of thy Lord with joy and peace, with earnestness and sincerity; and be thou the well-wisher of thy country and thy government. His grace shall assist thee at all times, His blessings shall be bestowed upon thee, and thy heart's desire shall be realized. By the Ancient Beauty! —may my life be a sacrifice for His loved ones-Were the friends to realize what a glorious sovereignty the Lord hath destined for them in His Kingdom, surely they would be filled with ecstasy, would behold themselves crowned with immortal glory and carried away with transports of delight. Erelong it shall be made manifest how brilliantly the light of His bountiful care and mercy hath shone upon His loved ones, and what a turbulent ocean hath been stirred in their hearts! Then will they clamor and exclaim: Happy are we; let all the world rejoice!—-Abdu’l-Baha

With Prayers,
